Description of Objects:

  • double-track tunnel Rennberg is a part of the transport project,, Deutsche Einheit No. 81 “- construction of high-speed railway Norimberg – Erfurt – Leipzig / Halle – Berlin

Construction technology:
Tunnel is driven by NATM (New Austrian Tunneling Method), with using drilling and blasting works, in a way of split bench.

Executed works:

  • driving of tunnel tube, length 1 043 m, profile 166 m2 (top heading – 85 m2, bench – 48 m2, bottom – 33 m2)
  • driving of escape galleries NA1 – length 21 m and NA2 length 72 m in profile 17 m2
  • driving the escape shaft, profile 67,35 m2, depth 32 m
  • primary support of tunnel by using shotcrete, lattice girder, wire meshes and rock anchors type SWELLEX
